Learning Objectives
Based on the economic proposal and suggestions promoted by the Italian economists since 1861 up to now with the final aim to influence the policy-making, the course focuses on the complex and circular relationship among the theoretical economic knowledge, the consequent economic culture, and its final effects on the political power.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of political economy as well as economic policy principles.

Lectures in remote with employment of slides and oral comments by the teacher.

Systemic references to the parallel evolution of the international economic thought will be offered.
Type of Assessment
The final examination will be written and personalised. The teacher will give to each one student three specific arguments to develop in sixty minutes.

The firts part of the course presents a summary of the main economic theories. The second part of the course deals with a specific segment of the history od economic thought, namely the Italian one, from the Unification in 1861 up to now.
