Research activities
BEELab+ aims to promote the use of experimental techniques by supporting research activities in the social sciences, assisting decision-making processes in the public and private sectors, and developing university and postgraduate training projects. Together with laboratories from four other Italian universities — Modena-Reggio Emilia, Pisa, Salerno and Siena — BEELab+ contributes to the activities of CIES, the Interuniversity Centre for Experimental Economics.

FaceReader: facial expression analysis to detect emotions — Ekman’s six basic emotions, plus neutral and contempt
Tobii Nano Eye Tracker: 60 Hz laboratory eye tracker for gaze plot and heatmap analysis
Tobii Pro Glasses 2 Wireless: portable eye tracking for field experiments and semi-field experiments
Oculus Quest 2: VR headset for immersive virtual reality experiments
Specialized software: FaceReader and Tobii Pro Lab
