Results and impact
DISEI contributes to the cultural, social and economic development of the local area through technology transfer activities and by supporting needs emerging from civil society. In doing so, it also promotes collaboration with local bodies and institutions, including through the joint establishment of consultation bodies.
DISEI is active in the local area and in third mission activities mainly through:
- Spin-offs;
- Joint laboratories;
- Industrial property rights;
- Support for student start-ups;
- Support for University services related to third mission activities;
- Engagement with the worlds of business, the professions, local authorities, third-sector bodies and international organisations for consultancy, governance, and commercial and socio-cultural development and innovation projects;
- Public engagement initiatives;
- Publications.
